Gwydir Castle is a courtyard house of Tudor heritage, which is a Grade 1 listed building. The house is set in 10 acres of land, which are of historic importance and are enveloped by the idyllic Conwy Valley countryside. Numerous regal dignitaries have resided in the castle. Gwydir Castle's most notable resident was the cousin of Queen Elizabeth I, Katherine Tudor who was also known as 'Mam Cymru' or, the 'Mother of Wales'.
King Charles I and Kink George V have also stayed at Gwydir over the years.

Although the castle is primarily a family home it's doors are open to guests and visitors. Gwydir provides an open and welcoming atmosphere and offers an incite into the, often private, lives of the Tudor Monarchy and Social Elite.
Although shrouded in history and heritage the castle's guest rooms are fully equipped with modern amenities and luxuries ensuring the maximum comfort.

Gwydir Castle is located within walking distance of Llanrwst, a small, local market town and twelve miles from the famously walled town of Conwy.
